Alert: AHSC Round 9 funding application deadline less than one month away
Applications are now open for California’s $775 million AHSC grant, which funds affordable housing and sustainable transportation projects. With the May 28 deadline fast approaching, eligible organizations are urged to apply.

The Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities (AHSC) Program—administered by the California Strategic Growth Council—is now accepting applications for Round 9. With nearly $775 million in funding available, AHSC supports transformative projects that integrate affordable housing with transportation improvements to reduce emissions, increase access to daily needs, and promote healthier, more connected communities.

Designed to support the state’s environmental and equity goals, the grant program funds everything from new housing developments to bike lanes, sidewalks, and community amenities that make it easier for Californians to move without a car. With a May 28 deadline approaching, this is a key opportunity for cities, developers, and community organizations to pursue substantial, long-term investment in local infrastructure and housing.
