CAL FIRE reports that forward progress on the Bonanza Fire has been stopped as of 7:32 PM PT on June 17, 2025, with containment now at 10%.

The wildfire, located near Bonanza Auto Road and Hollandview Drive, approximately 3 miles east of Shingle Springs in El Dorado County, has burned 80 acres since it was first reported on June 17 at 2:31 PM.

CAL FIRE AEU shared the latest update on X, noting that although the blaze remains active, firefighters have successfully halted its forward movement. However, critical evacuation orders remain in place for parts of El Dorado County as the fire continues to pose a threat to nearby communities.
